The Seven Habits of Successful Grant Writers
Vancouver Foundation
The Vancouver Foundation recognizes that communities are complex and that many factors go into creating a healthy and vibrant place for all to live. They take a broad view of our community and fund a wide variety of programs and projects.
Leon and Thea Koerner Foundation
The Leon and Thea Koerner Foundation provides funding to stimulate and invigorate non-profit organizations in the cultural and creative arts and the social services who serve communities throughout British Columbia.
The grants are given so that groups may undertake programs and/or projects that would not be possible otherwise, or require additional financial assistance.
Hamber Foundation
The Hamber Foundation is incorporated under the Societies Act of British Columbia and is registered under the Income Tax Act of Canada as a private charity. The Foundation makes grants for cultural, educational and charitable purposes within the Province of British Columbia. The Foundation prefers to support specific projects rather than contributing to general sustaining assistance or to large capital projects.
City of Vancouver
City of Vancouver—Cultural Services offers grants to Vancouver arts and cultural organizations registered as non-profit societies in BC.
Canadian Heritage
Canadian Heritage/Patrimonaire Canadien offers funding opportunities to festivals and performing arts institutions.
Canada Council for the Arts
The Canada Council for the Arts awards grants for the creation, production and dissemination of dance works. The operating activities of professional organizations, artists’ travel, professional development, tours and festivals are also funded, among others.
